Last winter during secret negotiations, Virginia Speed was able to convince Ed Hutchings to leave his business, HP Factory to join our team at Virginia Speed.  We knew Ed's passion for speed and expertise in tuning would be an asset to the Virginia Speed Team.  Ed is now able to spend his time tuning instead of worring the headaches of his own business, we feel honored he chose to join our team!  Below is just one example of the many tunes where Ed's expertise has gained torque and HP as well as drivability. 

 

This package includes Trickflow 215 heads, custom VASpeed camshaft, Fast 92 mm intake with 92mm throttle body, 42 lb. injectors, Yella Terra roller rockers, and an under drive pulley.  The car idles and drives fantastic, especially when you consider 138 more HP!  

Here at VA Speed we have learned through extensive dyno testing, both on the engine dyno and chassis dyno, that one cam does not fit all.  That's why we custom grind cams to fit the customers desires and expectations.   Last but not least is the tune. 

Ed and Shawn work closely together to ensure that the combination will be drivable on the street and provide the HP at the track.  We have heard some shops claim to be able to do a complete tune in 2 hours!  The truth is if you want driveability and POWER then Ed generally spends a day, sometimes more.  Yes, while it is true you can blast a couple of dozen pulls in a 2 hour period and get close on the tune but will it idle and run when not at WOT (side open throttle)?
